How to prepare Coriander Chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • Preparation Time : 30 mins
  • Cooking Time : 20 mins
    • Chicken: 1/2 kilograms
    • Mint leaves chopped: 3 tbsp
    • Cashews: 8 nos
    • Garlic paste: 1/2 tbsp
    • Hung curd: 1 dash
    • Cumin seeds: 1/2 tbsp
    • Cinnamon: 1 inches
    • Tomato puree: 1/2 cup
    • Salt: 4 pinches
    • Coriander leaves: 1 bunch
    • Green chilli: 5
    • Ginger paste: 1/2 tbsp
    • Powered turmeric: 1/4 tbsp
    • Mustard oil: 3 tbsp
    • Asafoetida: 1/2 tbsp
    • Sliced onion: 1 cup
    • Lemon juice: 4 drops
    METHOD OF COOKING:
    • Wash, clean and chop chicken to bite sized pieces
    • Wash and chop fresh coriander leaves, green chillies and mint leaves. Add blender to it
    • Add few cashew nunts and little amount of water and grind it up to smooth paste.
    • Transfer the paste into mixing bowl. Add this ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, yoghurt and mix it well.
    • Add chicken and coat it well with masala paste. Allow it to marinate for about 2 hours
    • Heat oil into frying pan
    • Add cumin seeds, cinnamon and saunf. Add finely sliced onions and fry it until its golden.
    • Add marinated chicken and sauté once at high flame for few mins
    • Add your tomato puree and cook it for a minute.
    • Add tomato puree and cook for a minute.
    • Add ¼ cup of water and just turn the flame to low medium.
    • Cover and cook the chicken well for 7 to 10 mins.
    • Once chicken is well cooked tender, squeeze up few drops of lemon juice.
    • Just taste and adjust the salt and seasoning. Transfer it back to serving bowl.
    • Garnish it well with grated cheese. Delicious coriander chicken with tempting aroma is ready. Serve it hot with rice or roti.
