How to prepare Chicken Shawarma roll

INGREDIENTS

  • Total Time: 25-30 mins
  • Total Time: 10 mins
    • Chicken (Boneless, Skinless) :1/2 kg
    • Yogurt: 1 cup
    • Lemon Juice :1 tbsp
    • Vinegar : 1 tbsp
    • Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbsp
    • Red chilli powder: 1 tbsp
    • Oregano herbs: 1/2 tbsp
    • Tomato sauce: 1 tbsp
    • Salt: 1/4 tbsp
    • Onion 1
    • Green chilli 1
    • Tomato 1
    • Cucumber 1
    • Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
    • Mayonnaise 1 cup
    • Capsicum Optional
    • Flour / Maida: 2 cup
    • Baking soda: 1/4 tbsp
    • Butter: 1/4 cup
    METHOD OF COOKING:
    • Into a bowl, just combine all ingredients given under table for Marinating except chicken. Mix it well and grind it to make smooth and fine paste.
    • Into a medium bowl, add chicken cubes and add ground paste. Mix it well and keep into a fridge overnight for marinating.
    • Arrange all the chicken cubes at a skewers and grill for about 20 to 25 mins. Dont over cook the chicken otherwise chicken may get dry, moisture to remain inside chicken.
    • Take grilled chicken into a plate. Heat small piece of coal direct to the flame and put it on plate.
    • Pour one tbsp of ghee on coal and immediately cover it with another plate so that chicken will essence of coal.
    • Just take chicken cubes and chop up unto small pieces. Chop all the other vegetables finely.
    • Combine flour, butter and baking soda into a bowl and knead into soft dough. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Take one portion of dough and roll it like chapathi.
    • Heat the pan or tawa and cook chapathi into medium flame until golden spots appears on both sides.
    • Just spread the mayonnaise on one side chapatti. Put chopped chicken into it.
    • Put all vegetables on top of chicken and put some more mayonnaise on top of vegetables. Roll and hold on chapatti with toothpick. Yummy chicken shawarma is ready to serve it with your favorite beverages.
