How To Cook Pomfret Fish Fry

INGREDIENTS

  • Total Time: 30 mins
  • Preparation Time: 20 mins
    • 500 grms White Pomfret Fish- 3 pieces.
    • Vegetable oil for shallow frying: 1/2 cup
    • 6 Byadagi Chilies.
    • black pepper corn: 1 tbsp
    • cloves garlic: 10 nos
    • 1 tbsp roasted gram(pottu kadalai).
    • 1 tbsp turmeric
    • 1 tbsp rock salt
    • 1 sprig curry leaves.
    • Lemon Juice
    • Onion Slices.
    METHOD OF COOKING:
    • Grind all the ingredients listed under masala into smooth paste with half cup of water. Set aside.
    • Clean the Pomfret fish (Vavval Meen) well and make gashes on both sides of skin. Apply the prepared masala paste on the fish inside the gashes. Keep the marinated fish aside for 20 minutes.
    • Heat cooking oil in a non stick pan until its really hot. When the oil is hot, just place the pomfret fish and fry it for 1.5 to 2 mins. Flip the fish to cook it carefully on another side.
    • Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel. Squeeze some lemon juice on the fish and serve hot with some sliced onions.
